Ally Brown, Office & Financial Manager
Ally was born and raised in Captain Cook on a small coffee and macadamia nut farm. She is a wife to Tim and mother to their children son Thor (2007) and daughter Kynzie (2015).
Ally graduated with a BS in Accounting and a Minor in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado. She has experience in both public and private accounting sectors and her experience includes audits, income taxes, bookkeeping/write up services, business consulting, management, information systems and controller/CFO. Her last two occupations prior to moving home were as an Accounting Solutions Senior/Manager with a top CPA firm in Denver and as the Controller of a National Travel Host Agency & an International Meeting Planning Company in Denver.
Ally currently holds the position of Office & Financial Manager for Sue Brown Realty & Associates and she is also a consultant for a few small businesses in Kona/Colorado & an established wedding & event planner and entrepreneur.
Ally is the Executive Director of the Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Program, a local preliminary for the Miss Hawaii/Miss America Organization & a scholarship program and an opportunity to mentor the Big Island's young women. Ally also serves as the Assistant Director for the Ladies Artisan Market, an organization founded by longtime friend, Aesha Shapiro, that coordinates events on the Big Island and also operates a networking group for Big Island businesswomen, entrepreneurs, artists and performers and anyone aspiring to be.
